The Zoning Ordinance is the basis of the township’s zoning authority and must be based on the township’s master plan. The zoning ordinance establishes zoning districts that regulate the land uses permitted in those districts. The Zoning Administrator is a part-time employee charged with the responsibility of enforcing the township’s zoning ordinance and issuing zoning permits.
State law has granted townships broad powers for protecting the health, safety and welfare of township residents and property through township ordinances. Ordinances are deemed ineffective if not uniformly enforced. Wilber Township employs a part-time Ordinance Enforcement Officer responsible for enforcing the township’s ordinances through established statutory means.
Ronald Phillips is the Ordinance Enforcement Officer
