The February 27th Presidential Primary saw 218 voters in the township. There were 72 voters in the Democratic primary and 146 in the Republican. The township followed the trend for Michigan and selected Joe Biden in the Democratic race and Donald Trump in the Republican race.
May 7, 2024 is a special Election for voters residing in the Oscoda School district. There will be one bond issue on the ballot. This is a local election so there will be no early voting in May. If you are an absentee voter, please make sure that we have your current address if you are going to be away from home in April.
Dates for the Board of Review are:
Monday, March 11, 2024, Appeals will be heard from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Appeals will be heard from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Written appeals are recommended and must be accompanied by a completed Board of Review petition (L-4035). This form is available at www.twp-assessor.com. When you reach that site click on the “Board of Review” tab. In person appeals are encourage to be by appointment.
The cemetery will open for the year April 1st to vehicle travel. There was some fairly substantial storm damage to trees and fences so please be careful as there may be work going on in the early Spring.
